Summary of Case:	"Codefendant of Tony Paris and Steven Miller. The media dubbed the three men the Cardiff Three. Miller was coerced into falsely confessing to the murder of prostitute Lynette White after 13 continuous hours of being shouted at and threatened by police interrogators. Miller was White's boyfriend and pimp. His false confession implicated his two codefendants who were likewise innocent. Once he confessed, the police stopped investigating promising leads that may have led to the killer. The three were convicted in 1988 and sentenced to life in prison. Two other defendants, John and Ronnie Actie, were acquitted. The convictions of the three were quashed by the Court of Appeals in 1992 and they were released after four years of wrongful imprisonment. Jeffry Gafoor pled guilty in July 2003 to murdering Lynette White, and he was sentenced to 13 years in prison."
