"Cory J. Beck was wrongly convicted of two separate indictments of soliciting a minor online in Harris County, Texas. Cory Beck was sentenced to 3 years in prison for each indictment. He did not appeal his convictions. In 2013 the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruled that § 33.021(b) unconstitutional in Ex parte Lo, 424 S.W.3d 10 (Tex. Crim. App. 2013). Beck filed a writ of habeas corpus that his convictions were no longer valid in light of Lo. On February 10, 2016 the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted Beck's writ of habeas corpus and ordered dismissal of his indictments."
