Summary of Case:	Co-defendant of brother Mike Brock. The brothers were wrongly convicted of conspiring to extort money by allegedly paying a Hamilton County, Tennessee Sessions Court Deputy Clerk to remove the names of bail jumpers from the court computer system. The brothers allegedly did this so they wouldn't have the money they put up for bail forfeited to the court. Both brothers were sentenced to 21 months in prison. The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the Brock brother's convictions of violating the Hobbs Act on the basis that the brothers were attempting to keep their own money, and a person cannot extort money from themselves, therefore they had been convicted of actions that even if true, do not constitute a federal crime. The brothers had been released pending appeal, so they had not actually spent any time imprisoned.
