Summary of Case:

"Jules Letemps was wrongly convicted in 1989 of sexual assault and kidnapping in Oralando, Florida. Letemps prosecution was based on his identification by the victim. After his conviction by a jury Letemps was sentenced to life in prison. In 2010 Centurion Ministries became involved in investigating Letemps case, and it was discovered that his trial lawyer failed to use a blood test of a semen stain on the victim's robe she wore shortly after the attack that was of a different blood type than Letemps. Letemp filed a post-conviction petition based on issues related to the discovery of the exclusionary evidence. The Florida state courts denied Letemps petition as time barred. Letemp filed a federal habeas corpus petition that was granted in July 2015, and the state was ordered to either release Letemps or retry him. On October 14, 2016 the Orange County District Attorney's motion to dismiss the charges was granted, and Letemps was released."
