At their sentencing the judge said he wished they had been charged with treson so he could sentence them to death. The story of how the police and prosecution orchestrated their false prosecution is dramatized in the 1993 movie starring Daniel Day Lewis: "In the Name of the Father." Released from custody on Oct. 22, 1989."
