Wrongly convicted of 1993 killings in Eikenhof by the perjured testimony of a police informant promised R250,000 by Brixton murder and robbery unit chief Charlie Landman, and the false confessions of the three codefendants Landman extracted by torturing the men. The prosecution's purchase of perjured testimony was disclosed in an affidavit by the informant, Abel Korope in 1997. |
