Summary
of Case:
|
Second wrongful conviction of murder. Both wrongful convictions were for murders that occurred while he was in custody. While falsely imprisoned for a murder he had nothing to do with, Williams falsely confessed to another murder in an effort to free himself by proving that an innocent person could be convicted of murder on the basis of a false confession. He was proved right again. He was convicted of the second murder that he couldn't have committed because he was incarcerated and he served 17 years for that false murder conviction concurrent with his first false murder conviction. He was exonerated and released from both false convictions at same time. |
