Wrongly convicted of murder based on his false confession coerced by the police. In 1990 the Queensland Court of Criminal Appeal and Australia's High Court cast serious doubt on the validity of Condren's confession and his conviction. Queensland's Attorney-General reviewed the evidence and recommended that Condren be released. Kelvin Condren was released in 1990. |
