"Ike Gerson, Mr. Abraham, and Mr. Nathan were wrongly convicted in federal court in Oklahoma City of conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States by concealing from the trustee in bankruptcy certain merchandise and cash of the estate of Abraham Gerson. After their conviction by a jury the defendants were each sentenced to 2 years in prison and payment of a $1,000 fine. Gerson, Abraham, and Nathan appealed. On March 14, 1928 the U.S. Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals set-aside the convictions of Gerson, Abraham, and Nathan on the basis the prosecution failed to introduce sufficient evidence to prove the conspiracy charge."
