"Robert Adams was wrongly convicted of murder, false imprisonment, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. In 1999 Adams submitted an application to the Criminal Case Review Commission (CCRC) for review of his conviction as a miscarriage of justice. Adams's case was referred by the CCRC on 3/26/2003 to the England and Wales Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). On 9/19/2005 the appeals court quashed Robert Adams's convictions."
