Summary of Case:	"Harlan Agresti was wrongly convicted in September 2015 of raping a woman on April 18, 2013 in Canberra, Australia. Agresti was a cadet at the Australian Defence Force Academy in Canberra. After a night out he escorted the woman, who was also a cadet, back to her room. They had sex. The woman later accused Agresti of raping her, claiming she had drunk too much alcohol to give her consent. Agresti's defense was the woman initiated the consensual sex encounter. After Agresti was found guilty by a jury he was sentenced on February 3, 2016 to 2 years and 4 months in prison, with 10 months to be served before he could be released. Agresti appealed. On November 1, 2016 the Australian Capital Territory Court of Appeal quashed Agresti's conviction and ordered his acquittal based on the prosecution's failure to introduce evidence proving his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt."
