"On September 12, 2013 the Illinois Supreme Court vacated Aguilar's convictions under Illinois AUUW firearm statute. The Court ruled in People v. Aguilar, 2 NE 3d 321, 2013 IL 112116, 377 Ill. Dec. 405 (Ill. Supreme Court, 9-12-2013 ), that the AUUW statute's under which Aguilar was convicted were unconstitutional because they violated his right to keep and bear arms, as guaranteed by the second amendment to the United States Constitution (U.S. Const., amend. II)."
