Summary of Case:

"Sirfraze Ahmed was wrongly convicted in October 2006 of a 2004 robbery based on four of his fingerprints found on a plastic bag that had beenin the victim's car. Ahmed was a mechanic who had worked on the victim's car. He denied being involved in the robbery and his defense was his prints must have gotten on the bag when he touched it while working on the car. After the jury found Sirfraze Ahmed guilty, he was sentenced to four years imprisonment. In June 2007 the Court of Appeals quashed his conviction on the basis the four fingerprints were insufficient evidence he was involved in the robbery in the absence of any corroborating evidence."
