Richard Roy Allan was wrongly convicted of murder and conspiracy to rob. In 1999 Allan submitted an application to the Criminal Case Review Commission (CCRC) for review of his conviction as a miscarriage of justice. Allan's case was referred by the CCRC on 8/23/2002 to the England and Wales Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). On 8/20/2004 the appeals court quashed Richard Roy Allan's convictions.
