Summary of Case: |
"Dante Allen was wrongly convicted on December 3, 2005 of with felonious assault, kidnapping, inducing panic and disturbing public service, based on a June 2005, incident on a Cincinnati, Ohio city bus. Allen's co-defendant admitted being involved, but he insisted that Allen had not been on the bus and had nothing to do with it. Five days after Dante Allen's conviction he was released on bail pending dismissal of the charges after the police obtained information that Allen's co-defendant had been telling the truth. Allen had been mistaken for the actual youth involved in the incident." |
