"Earl Oscar Amory was wrongly convicted of possession of a controlled substance in Harris County, Texas. Earl Amory pled guilty, and he was sentenced to 120 days in jail. After Amory served his sentence the substance seized by the police was tested and found not to contain any controlled substance or dangerous drug. Amory filed a writ of habeas corpus based on the new evidence. On November 23, 2016 the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted Earl Amory's habeas corpus writ."
