"Candice Anderson was wrongly convicted in 2006 of involuntary manslaughter related to the crash of her General Motors Saturn vehicle. Anderson pled guilty and she was sentenced to five years probation, $2,500 fine, and 260 hours of community service. On November 24, 2014 Anderson, Candice's guilty plea was ordered withdrawn and the charges were dismissed based on new evidence provided by General Motors that the fatal traffic accident on Nov. 15, 2004 could have been caused by a defect ignition switch in the 2004 Saturn Ion she was driving. The defective switch could resullt in a sudden loss of steering."
