"Arthur Anderson LLP was wrongly convicted in federal court in 2002 of obstruction of justice in failing to retain all documents in the wake of the collapse of its client, Enron in 2001. On May 31, 2005 the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously overturned the conviction in ruling that the trial judge's instructions to the jury failed to require the necessary proof that Arthur Andersen LLP knew its actions were wrong."
