"Theodore Anzalone was wrongly convicted in 1984 of currency structuring in making deposits so they would be under the $10,000 threshold that would require the bank to re report the transactions. On July 1, 1985 the federla First Court of appeals overturned his convictions, and ordered his indictment dismissed on the basis the government introduced no evidence he had any intent to commit a crime. Thus Anzalone was acquitted by the appeals court."
