"Wrongly convicted of a total of 12 counts that included money laundering, conspiracy to launder money, conducting and conspiring to conduct an illegal gambling business, and illegal transmission of wagering information. Susan Bala was sentenced to 27 months in prison. On March 6, 2007 the Federal Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that there was insufficient evidence to support the conviction of Bala, the president and sole shareholder of Racing Services, Inc. (RSI), for any of the counts. All Bala's convictions were reversed. She was wrongly imprisoned for 18 months."
