"John Robert Ballard was wrongly convicted in 2003 of the 1999 murder of two of his neighbors in Collier County, Florida. In February 2006 the Florida Supreme Court vacated Ballard's conviction and because there was no direct or circumstantial evidence supporting his guilt, the Court ordered a directed verdict of acquittal."
