Summary of Case:

"Michael Beadle was a codefendant of Gary Shaffi, David Noble and Craig Lane, who were wrongly convicted in November 1997 of the murder and robbery of 73-year-old pensioner Frederick Barnett on December 29, 1995 in his home in east Hull, England. Their prosecution was based on a jailhouse informant who testified that Shaffi confessed to him that he and the other three men committed the crime, and several witnesses testified they saw the four men outside Barnett's house the night of the crime. The four were sentenced to life in prison. The four were acquitted on appeal in November 1998. Michael Beadle's exoneration was posthumous because he died in prison in March 1998."
