"Wrongly convicted of one count of common assault and two counts of making threats to kill a woman. Lynsey Bennett was convicted based on the testimony of the alleged victim. After his conviction the woman complainant admitted she lied, and his conviction was quashed on appeal by the Grimsby Crown Court. The woman was then charged with perverting the course of justice for filing a false police report and committing perjury during the trial."
