Summary of Case:	"David Blache was wrongly convicted in 2002 of raping a woman in 2000, which he was a Methuen, Massachusetts police officer. David Blache admitted having sex with the woman on the couch of her home after he had driven her hom while on duty, while the woman said he raped her. There was no evidence other than the woman's testimony. On February 8, 2008 the Supreme Judicial Court overturned the conviction of David Blache on the ground of a faulty jury instruction for determining whether the alleged victim was intoxicated. The prosecution dismissed the charge on September 20, 2010, prior to the beginning of Blache's retrial. The prosecution said they had insufficient evidence to convict Blache becasue the woman refused to testify against him."
