"Derek Borrows was wrongly convicted on January 22, 1999 at Harrow Magistrates Court, of willful obstruction of a highway. He was sentenced to 12 months probation and fined £50. Borrows'' application for leave to appeal against conviction was refused by the Crown Court on January 25, 2000. He applied to the Criminal Cases Review Commission on March 1, 2000 for a review of his conviction. After investigating his case, the CCRC referred Borrows' conviction to the Crown Court on June 27, 2001. Borrows' conviction was quashed on September 28, 2001." |
