Summary of Case:

Mrs. Bratuscha was codefendant of her husband Franz Bratuscha. Franz falsely confessed to the murder of his 12 year-old daughter and then cannibalizing the corpse. Mrs. Bratuscha falsely confessed to helping him cut up and grilling their daughters corpse. He was sentenced to death that was later commuted ot life in prison. She was sentenced to 3 years in prison as an accessory. After the daughter turned up alive living in a nearby town the parents were acquitted after a new trial in 1903.
