"Joseph Green Brown was wrongly convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to death in Florida. Brown ws convicted on the basis of one witness who testified he was Brown's accomplice. The alleged accomplice was never prosecuted. A federal appeals court ruled that the prosecutor, who became a Tampa, Florida circuit judge, "knowingly used false testimony" during Brown's trial.
