Summary of Case:	"Domingo Calderon III was wrongly convicted on July 5, 2005 of sexually assaulting his 11-year-old sister in September 2003. He pled guilty based on his sister's claim he committed the sex abuse in order to be given the reduced sentence of 10 years probation. On April 18, 2006 Calderon was arrested when he refused to admit his guilt during sex-offender therapy, and his probation was revoked on May 31, 2006 when he was sentenced to serve his 10 year sentence in prison. In September 2006 Calderon's then 14-year-old sister recanted and he filed a state habeas corpus petition. Calderon's conviction was overturned by the trial court and on April 28, 2010 the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the lower court's ruling and Calderon was released form prison on July 27, 2010. On August 25, 2010 the Atascaso County District Attorney’s Office's motion to dismiss the charges was granted. Calderon served 4 years and 3 months in prison."
