Summary of Case:	"Joey Ray Carabajal was wrongly convicted in 2013 of possessing a controlled substance in Williamson County, Texas. After he pled guilty, Joey Carabajal was sentenced to two years in prison. Post-conviction laboratory testing of the substance in Carabajal's possession discovered that it was not an illegal substance. Carabajal filed a writ of habeas corpus to withdraw his guilty plea and for a new trial. The State did not oppose Carabajal's petition. On February 26, 2014 the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted Carabajal's petition on the basis the new evidence established his innocence because the substance in his possession was not illegal."
