Summary of Case:	"Arthur Carmona was 16 years old when wrongly convicted of two armed robberies in Orange County, CA. He was released in August 2000 after serving 2-1/2 years of a 10-1/2 year sentence. At a hastily called press conference on Aug. 21, 2000, the day of Arthur Carmona's release, the Orange County DA not only refused to apologize for the 2-1/2 years the innocent Arthur Carmona had spent imprisoned, but he said: "Arthur, it is a rare event that a convicted defendant gets this kind of break." Furthermore, the DA imposed as a condition of agreeing to Carmona's release that he wouldn't sue the Irvine CA police department or Orange County for his wrongful conviction and incarceration."
