Summary of Case:

"Xavier Catron was wrongly convicted in 1993 of the murder of a 16 year old on Chicago's south side based on the testimony of three "eyewitnesses" who later swore under oath they were coerced by Chicago police to perjury themselves and falsely identify Catron. The three witnesses recanted and Catron eventually won a new trial, and the Cook County State's Attorney's Office dropped the charges against him in 2000."
