"Webster L. Chapman was wrongly convicted in December 2006 of raping a 17-year-old girl unconscious from drinking. Webster Chapman was to 58 to 64 years in prison. In August 2008 New York's Court of Appeal overturned Chapman's conviction, ruling both that there insufficient evidence he forced the teenager to have sex, and that his lawyer had provided ineffective representation by his public defender. The court's ruling barred his retrial on the charges."
