"Darren Roy Christian was wrongly convicted on September 15, 1992 of possessing a shotgun without a certificate in London, England. Christian was sentenced to three years imprisonment. In 2000 Christian submitted an application to the Criminal Case Review Commission (CCRC) for review of his conviction as a miscarriage of justice. Christian's case was referred by the CCRC on January 9, 2002 to the England and Wales Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). Christian's conviction was quashed by the Court of Appeals on February 20, 2003." |
