Served four years in prison after the four codefendants were wrongly convicted in June 1977 of being involved in the murder of Micky Cornwall, and Clarke only was also convicted of being involved in the murder of Michael Moseley. The trial that lasted seven months was the longest trial in English history up to that time. The Criminal Case Review Commission referred their case to the Court of Appeals on June 21, 2000. Charlie Clarke died in 1995 before being posthumously cleared by the Court of Appeal on July 16, 2002."
