Summary of Case:	"LaTanya K.Clemmons was wrongly convicted in 2010 of two counts of rendering criminal assistance with aggravating factors related to her brother Maurice Clemmons' shooting four Lakewood, Washington police officers in a Parkland, Washington coffee shop on November 29, 2009. Lakewood and Parkland are near each other in Pierce County. The jury convicted her of rendering assistance by transporting Clemmons' accomplice Darcus Allen to a motel after the shootings. Clemmons was sentenced to 5 years in prison. On June 22, 2012 the Washington Court of Appeals overturned Clemmons convictions on the basis the prosecution failed to prove the essential element that Clemmons had any knowledge Allen was involved in the shootings, so the appeals court ordered her indictment dismissed with prejudiced, which bars her retrial."
