Summary of Case:	"Phillip Coates was wrongly convicted in March 2007 of raping a woman while the two were serving on a warship in the Mediterranean in March 2006. The woman claimed she told him no when he wanted to do more than the kissing they were engaged in, and he said she consented. Phillip Coates was sentenced to five years imprisonment. In June 2007 the Court of Appeal quashed Coates conviction based on the unreliableness of the accusers testimony, since she gave four different statements about the event, in addition to her trial testimony. Coates was released immediately after four months imprisonment."
