Summary of Case:	"Citgo Petroleum Corporation was wrongly convicted of violating the federak Clean Air Act and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act in March 2002 at its refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. CITGO was finded $2 million for the CAA violations and $15,000 for each MBTA violation. On September 4, 2015 the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit reversed CIGTO's CAA convictions on the basis the jury was given an improper definition of a "water-oil separator" that undoubtedly affected the verdict, and the MBTA convictions were overturned because it only applies to deliberate acts done directly and intentionally to migratory birds, such as hunting and trapping."
