Summary of Case:

"Beniah Alton Dandridge was wrongly convicted on March 13, 1996 of murder, murder during a robbery and murder during a burglary related to the death of Riley Manning on December 18, 1994 in Montgomery, Alabama. Dandridge was sentenced to life in prison. Dandrige filed a post-conviction motion for a new trial based on new evidence that the fingerprint evidence the prosecution relied on at trial was unreliable. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office filed a motion on September 30, 2015 supporting that the vacating of Dandridge's convictions and the dismissal of the charges against him. Dandridge's petition was granted and the charges were dismissed. Dandridge was released on October 1, 2015."
