Summary of Case:	"One of six defendants wrongly convicted in July 2004 of paedophilia in Outreau, France. The six were among 17 adults prosecuted in what became known as L'affaire d'Outreau, so named after the small northern French town of Outreau in which 18 children were supposed raped and otherwise systematically abused from 1995 to 2000. Four defendants admitted thier guilt, but 13 insisted on their innocence One of the 13 committed suicide prior to trial and six of the defendants were acquitted in June 2004 after a two month trial. The other six defendants who plead not guilty had their convictions overturned by the appeals court in December 2005. The six defendants exonerated on appeal were Alain Marecaux, Thierry Dausque, Franck and Sandrine Lavier, Daniel Legrand and Dominique Wiel."
