Summary of Case:	"George Davis was wrongly convicted in March 1975 of an April 1974 armed robbery and sentenced to 20 years in prison. The Court of Appeals upheld his conviction on December 11, 1975, but reduced his sentence to 17 years. In May 1976 England Home Secretary Roy Jenkins recommend Davis' release by Exercise of the Royal Prerogative of Mercy. Jenkins took the extraordinary action because of doubts about the reliability of the identification evidence the prosecution used to conviction Davis. Home Secretary Jenkins acted after one of the most vigorous miscarriage of justice campaigns in English history that was coordinated by his wife Rose Davis. Davis was wrongly imprisoned about two years. Rose Davis died on January 31, 2009. On May 24, 2011 England's Court of Appeals quashed Davis' conviction as "unsafe.""
