Fifteen defendants were convicted based on unreliable evidence by Richmond Police Department Detective Jason Norton. An investigation into irregularities in search warrant affidavits based on alleged information provided by alleged confidential informants and other suspicious conduct by Det. Norton from 2008 to 2012. The investigation discovered that Norton's fraudulent evidence may have been relied on to obtain more than 100 convictions.
