Summary of Case:

"Joshua Devain Dobson was wrongly convicted in April 2009 of misdemeanor driving while suspended (DWS) in Beaverton, Oregon. At the time of his trial 16 months had passed from the time of he was charged in December 2007. Dobson did not consent to a waiver of his speedy trial rights and he made a motion to dismiss the charge that was denied by the trial judge. After Dobson's conviction he appealed.
