"Thomas E. Dukes Jr. was wrongly convicted of burglary on May 12, 1986 based on his guilty plea. After the trial court denied Dukes motion to withdraw his guilty plea, the Indiana Court of Appeals reversed that ruling on July 26, 1988. The trial court then granted the motion to vacate Dukes' conviction on August 31, 1988, which was filed by the Indiana Public Defender's Office."
