"Co-defendant of brothers Len and Dean Ireland. The three were wrongly convicted in 1993 of what was known as the Karpa Gold scam, in which they alleged swindled investors out of AUS$6 million. They were imprisoned for for 13 months. In 2003 their convictions were quashed by the Western Australia Supreme Court on March 28, 2003."
