Summary of Case:	"Audrey Edmunds was wrongly convicted of causing the death of a child based on "shaken baby syndrome." Edmunds was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Based on new medical evidence disputing shaken baby syndrome, and that the child died from natural causes, her conviction was oveturned in January 2008 by Wisonsin's 4th District Court of Appeals, which cited "significant controversy" in the medical field about shaken baby syndrome. She was released on bail in February 2008. In July 2008 the prosecution announced that she would not be retried and the charges were dismissed."
