"Mohammad Ejaz alias Tona was wrongly convicted in 2016 of illegal weapons charges and possession of an explosive in Nabi Bux, in India's state of Uttar Prades. Ejaz was arrested on March 1, 2015. After his conviction he was sentenced to an aggregate of 21 years in prison. He appealed. In 2017 Ejaz' convictions were overturned on the basis of insufficient evidence because the prosecution failed to prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt."
