"Wrongly convicted in 2008 of terrorism after being found guilty of planting and detonating a bomb on February 16, 2001 that killed 11 people and injured 22 on a bus carrying Serbian pilgrims to the monastery town of Gracanica. Florim Ejupi was sentenced to 40 years in prison. He appealed his conviction, and on March 12, 2009 a Supreme Court panel of five judges announced that "He was acquitted of all charges and released for a lack of evidence."" |
