"Michael Evans was co-defendant of Paul Terry. Evans and Terry were wrongly convicted of murdering, kidnapping and raping a 9-year-old girl in Chicago, Illinois. Michael Evans was compensated by the State of Illinois $160,000 for 27 years of wrongful imprisonment. Evans filed a federal civil rights lawyers against nine Chicago police officers claiming he was framed, but on August 8, 2006, a Chicago federal jury ruled that he had not proved his case and didn't award him any damages. Michael Terry filed a suit in state court against the City of Chicago and the Chicago Police Department.
