Summary of Case:	"Pang Hung Fai was wrongly convicted in 2011 of money laundering for allowing a friend and business associate to have several million $ transferred to a business account of Fai's in 2008. Fai was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in prison. Fai's conviction was affirmed by Hong Kong's Court of Appeals on May 31, 2013. On November 10, 2014 Hong Kong's Court of Final Appeal quashed Fai's convictions on the basis the trial judge failed to adequately consider the lack of evidence Fai had knowledge the money deposited into his company's bank account was proceeds from a stock fraud. Because of the weakness of the prosecution's case the court did not order a retrial."
