Summary of Case:	"Michael Faulder was wrongly convicted in 1999 of inflicting grievous bodily harm to a seven-week-old boy based on expert testimony the boy's injuries were due to "shaken baby syndrome." Faulder defense was the baby's injuries were accidental because he accidentally dropped the baby while trying to put him into his pushchair. The child made a full recovery. After Faulder was convicted he was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in prison. In 2000 Faulder submitted an application to the Criminal Case Review Commission (CCRC) for review of his conviction as a miscarriage of justice. Faulder's case was referred by the CCRC on 5/14/2003 to the England and Wales Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). On 7/21/2005 the appeals court quashed Michael Faulder's convictions."
